You wouldn’t believe the album of photos from my trip to Arizona! Everywhere I turned, I noticed something new and fascinating to capture. Color was an interesting subject to study in the desert. Most everything is dry and dusty which makes for a very muted color palette. But then you have the sky which can be the most brilliant navy blue or blood orange depending on the time of day. I heard that during the Spring, the cacti grow neon blossoms and later bright, colorful fruit. I had know idea the desert could be so colorful!

Perhaps that’s part of what makes it such a captivating environment… it’s never quite what you expect.
