The crunch and crisp of Winter has begun to set in. Early mornings are frost bitten and late evenings have a chill that will bite you to the bone. The mid day is still relatively mild here in Texas but cold none the less.

I took this photograph earlier in the season and it caught my attention recently because of the many layers of dark, crunchy texture. There’s something oddly comforting about dying leaves and faded colors. It means the beginning of something new is right around the corner!

Cheers to a weekend punctuated by frosty mornings, cold evenings, and layers of texture.
