I came across this tall, twin-sized poster bed a few weeks ago and immediately thought of the charming country guest bedroom from the home of fashion designer Emerson Fry of EmersonMade (i love her designs, it’s no wonder i love her house too!). How often do you even see twin poster beds? Not much anymore, it’s seems. The slender frame and old-fashioned style lends itself beautifully to a guest bedroom or little girl’s room, though. This particular bed was not the best quality but when spruced up with a fresh coat of paint and crisp, tailored bedding, it could serve the purpose perfectly! A guest bed isn’t usually used very often but does still require a good impression none the less. Inviting friends to stay over is more than just giving them a place to lay their heads… it’s about creating an experience that is fond and memorable. With a poster bed, you would do just that!
Too bad our house doesn’t have a guest bedroom. This dear-y would have been picked up in a snap!

Beautiful! I feel so grateful that we have a guest room for just the reasons you describe. It *isn’t* used much, but to have a space to welcome people into our homes means the world to me.

This just took me straight to my childhood. I had forgotten that I had a poster bed and it’s funny because I’ve always loved them. I ned to get my guest room in order, badly! Hope you’re great!!
