When visiting a hip city such as Austin, the idea is usually to dress the part and join in the experience of your surroundings. In Austin, that’s definitely a sort of relaxed cowboy, rock and roll meets Whole Foods meets the great outdoors kind of vibe. Not exactly my signature look.
In an honest attempt to fit in during TxSC, I wore my cowboy boots the first day we arrived but then quickly slipped back into my typical quirky garb. These two fellas didn’t seem so sure of my ensemble. I had to remind them that I was simply supporting the city’s motto by keeping it weird!
Outfit Details: Floral Coat, vintage – similar here // Banana Republic Blue Button-up, similar here // Ivory Knit Sweater, thrift – similar here // Light Jade Open Circle Earrings, InPink // Twiggy Dark Skinny Jeans, James Jeans // Purple Leather Heels, similar here
I think I was channeling more of a Debbie Reynolds circa the 1950s (or 70s)… close enough, right?!

David mentioned he thought it was Stevie Ray Vaughn and Clint Eastwood. That would make sense!
