The end of last week and the beginning of this one have been a pleasant blur. My parents came into town on Friday and between preparations for their visit and their actual stay, I’ve had little time for blogging. Our days were spent browsing local shops, enjoying Fort Worth dining, sharing time with our new community of friends, and soaking in bits of Texas culture. On Monday, we made the rounds to a few of my favorite shops including Berry Good Buys and Butler’s Antiques. The end of our day of shopping, however, took us to a place that not even I had been to yet… Calloway’s Nursery! At first, we contemplated another visit to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens but decided a trip to the plant nursery would be more productive. You see, I have this very cool project in the works that requires some light “pot-scaping” (my renter’s version of landscaping) for our front porch area. Calloway’s turned out to be an incredible place for all my gardening needs!
Besides the wide variety of foliage and florals, I was energized by the natural vibrancy of colors!! Today’s “Color Study” is just a glimpse at a few hues that stood out against the rest.
