“Making lemonade out of lemons” is a cliche statement but undeniably appropriate in so many situations. I don’t have to dwell on the electrical difficulties David and I have been having this past week. (You may have seen me mention it HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.) Needless to say, our situational issues have thrown a kink in a good chunk of my work schedule. Amidst it all, however, perhaps the nicest redeeming element has been the sculptural “floral” arrangement on our hallway bookcase – a beautiful reuse of the fallen tree from our backyard…
…and inspired by the unique styling of THIS particular ELLE Decor interior.
No doubt, it’s served as a timely reminder that good things can come of bad… don’t you agree?

That is a great reminder for sure! Beautiful tree limb! Here’s hoping that there is some electricity soon!

yes! Love it. I’ve just been talking about this very thing….making the most of a situation, good or bad & keeping a positive outlook. Beautifully turning “destruction” into art for all to enjoy through your well done blog!!! NICE

Do you want part of the tree that’s laying in my back yard? I never keep the branches I try to harvest as much of the bark as I can..don’t know why, I just do.

The bark could be a cool styling tool as well! Not sure that I need anymore branches though. Got my fill!
