After yesterday’s “hefty” subject matter about the importance of art, today I find myself in the mood to simplify.

Easy enough! Recently, I visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens and found them to be the perfect place to escape for a quiet moment of reflection or mindless relaxation. I’ll let the photographs do most of the talking but first, imagine this… You’re walking along the scorching hot sidewalk of an unassuming street in downtown Fort Worth. Maybe you’re walking to your car from work or to the train from the nearby convention center. Suddenly, the muffled sound of gushing, slushing water drifts through the air above you followed by a cool, moist breeze and your curiosity is peaked. A short investigation later and you discover the entrance to a magical place!

Now, off you go into the experience you least expected – a water garden in the middle of Cowtown!

The gardens are organized into four categories – the active pool, quiet pool, aerated pool, and mountain. First we adventured into the active pool…

And then the quiet pool…

Now, how’s that for an urban oasis? Or, should I say, an online oasis!
