Well, this is a funny coincidence.
I’ve been holding onto this post for the past couple weeks due to the oddly warm weather we’ve been having and the fact that this outfit is more suited for cooler temps. Yes, even this mildly bundled ensemble would’ve been too warm for what we’ve been experiencing in Texas lately! Finally, last night I decided that it was time to post whether or not the local weather was fitting. It’s cold somewhere, right?
Then, wouldn’t you know, the weather snapped back once again this AM. Perfect timing! Now I can share this chilly weather outfit post with the world and feel like I know what I’m talking about.
A few details about the outfit… it’s nothing special, really. Just a swingy summer skirt (still in my closet because of the afore mentioned warm weather), an ivory wool turtleneck, a pair of classic tall black boots, funky earrings, and a wide brimmed hat – my latest thrift store score. I was at a loss for cute jackets to finish off the look so I decided to raid David’s wardrobe for something cozy and over-sized. This tweed number suited my purposes perfectly!
Now, let’s hope this isn’t one of those situations where you prepare for something and then because of the mere fact that you’re prepared (think, carrying an umbrella in preparation for the rain), nothing ever comes of it. I still want a Winter!!
